The CFO will be fiscally responsible to plan, organize and direct the finance and accounting department. The position will coordinate the administration of company policies on finance, accounting, insurance, systems, internal controls and auditing. This position will supervise and maintain all accounting functions and assist other departments with all financial needs. The CFO position at CareNet will also provide direct supervision over Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budget Analysis, Billing and Payroll.

  • Oversee current Accounting staff and ensure overall strategic decisions and direction is obtained.
  • Ensure month-end general ledger closings including maintenance of subsidiary ledgers.
  • Have “Board-ready" financial statements and reports prepared for internal & external use.
  • Oversee and monitor all cash, transfer of funds, and GL accounts.
  • Work to build relationships with department heads to ensure financial budgets and analysis is consistent with overall growth strategy.
  • Evaluate, create and streamline internal and external financial reporting processes for consistency.
  • Automate reporting systems.
  • Provide support and be responsive to internal departments’ requests, questions, and needs.

Qualifications are as follows:

  • Degree in accounting or finance, CPA or MBA required.
  • Eight to ten years experience in a CPA firm working in multiple industries of high growth entrepreneurial company’s, with a proven record of accomplishment in financial management. (healthcare industry experience a plus)
  • Responsibility for financial and accounting operations and administration of significant business activities. Successful track record in a CPA firm overseeing progressive growth-oriented clients is highly preferred.
  • Thorough working knowledge of financial activities of a growth organization, including accounting systems, budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Proven oversight of budget and forecasting initiatives.
  • Very strong accounting and financial analysis abilities.
  • Strong written and presentation skills for reporting to the President and Executive staff.
  • Ability to organize operations and systems in a simple, understandable and economic manner.
  • Operating knowledge of a financially successful high growth company (healthcare a plus).
  • Creative problem solver and ability to implement strategic initiatives consistent with the company’s mission, goals and objectives.

Qualifications are as follows:

  • Current, unrestricted, RN licensure in Texas. Licensure in other states as required by law or client contract.
  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school or Diploma Nursing.
  • Five years of related clinical experience in acute or ambulatory area.
  • Two years or more Supervisory experience.
  • Call Center experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
