Care Advocates

Taking extra care of your members.
Care Advocates are experienced Healthcare Professionals, who help guide your members through the maze of today's healthcare system. Health insurance and care access issues can be multiplex and frustrating.

Each Care Advocate is committed to assisting your member in the most appropriate and professional manner using their demonstrated and practiced managed healthcare experience and member service skills.

A staff of administrative experts support the Care Advocates in handling claims, benefits, grievances and other issues involved with healthcare paperwork.

Upon eligibility, your members and their household will have access to a Care Advocate. In fact Care Advocates' will assist and support members who are helping care for elderly parents too!

In addition, at any hour on any day, members can speak with a compassionate, caring, experienced Registered Nurse who will provide efficient and accurate care recommendations based on reported symptoms! It's really amazing what they can accomplish.

Care Advocates work to get results. They stay in the loop every step of the way to help guide a swift resolution of member requests. Capable of coordinating support and care for members in a variety of ways, Care Advocates can:

 
  • Guide members in the review, comparison and selection of a health plan
  • Educate about health plan benefits and how to access those benefits
  • Assist in locating Physicians and Facilities
  • Make arrangements for diagnostic tests and coordinate a multiple-day testing schedule
  • Assist members to understand recommended tests, treatments and prescription medications
  • Educate members to be better communicators with their Physician
  • Collaborate care for a member with complex medical issues
  • Facilitate the transfer of medical records, x-rays and lab results prior to a scheduled appointment with any new physician
  • Schedule and book appointments, transportation and lodging
  • Facilitate a review of test results with another physician for confirmation of a diagnosis or plan of care
  • Schedule home-care equipment after a discharge from the hospital
  • Arrange for members to be evaluated for participation in clinical trials
  • Coordinate transfers between hospitals and other medical facilities
  • Make arrangements for hospice care for a terminally ill patient
